Tenzin will begin his first year at the University at Buffalo this fall, where he will study Public Health with the goal of building a career in healthcare. Drawn to the field by a desire to improve people’s lives, he is especially interested in how communities can work together to create healthier futures. As he explores the many paths within healthcare, his focus remains on making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
The greatest challenge on Tenzin’s journey to college has been the financial burden of higher education. Knowing the sacrifices his family has made, he stayed focused on his education while seeking every opportunity to help make college possible. That experience has strengthened his appreciation for each opportunity and reinforced the importance of giving back whenever he can.
“Your generosity is helping me take an important step toward my future, and I don’t take that for granted. I hope that one day I’ll be in a position to give back and support others the same way you’ve supported me.“
The Trace of Hope grant will help cover a portion of Tenzin’s tuition while easing financial pressure on his family, allowing him to focus more fully on his studies and his experience at the University at Buffalo. Receiving the grant filled him with gratitude, pride, and renewed motivation, reminding him that his hard work has been recognized and that others believe in his future.
