Ken’Ziah is currently a senior in high school AND is taking credits at her local community college as well so she can focus her energies, and money, on studying to become a nurse and then a doctor. “I chose nursing to begin with because ever since I was in elementary I have wanted to be a doctor. I have always had a passion for helping others, and have seen over the years the impact doctors can have in people’s lives so healthcare seems like the right avenue for me. Unfortunately, college is expensive so I have made a plan to attempt to get through schooling with very little to no debt. This is why I have chosen to start at a community technical college to get my nursing degree. Once I accomplish that my goal is to work for a few years and then go on to medical school to become a perhaps a dermatologist or anesthesiologist. Whether it is helping them feel more confident in their bodies or making sure they stay asleep during surgery I like that I can personally make a difference in someone’s medical experience.”
