Ethan is a recent high school graduate who simultaneously was studying Information Technology at a local Technical Community College. “I chose this field of study as I want to find new ways to help companies and individuals protect themselves from their information and data being stolen. I have seen the damage done when this happens and the results can be devastating, with the worst case scenario of companies going bankrupt and individuals losing their homes all because they were not properly protected. My goal is to find the solutions to minimize or better yet negate the impact of a cyber attack. It is a lofty goal, but I am determined to succeed and have so much passion to get started that I started classes even before I graduated high school to get ahead. It was at first intimidating to be with students with more experience and so much older than me, but it has all been worth it especially now receiving the Trace of Hope grant. It just shows me that i am on the right path and that feels so good.”
