Haukea was a student at a beauty school and now wants to use her degree to empower her clients to feel beautiful about themselves.

“My teacher from beauty school opened up her own hair salon and has always wanted to take in her previous students to further their education out of the school. I want to expand my knowledge and utilize my license to the best of my abilities.

I want to help others feel & look better when they don’t feel or look their best. This is a way for me to express my creativity all while making the best relationships with my clients!

I plan to use the funds from the Trace Of Hope grant to afford buying myself the needed supplies & tools for my profession. This will help me feel much more confident & prepared knowing I can have the tools I need for the meantime. This grant means the most to me. Receiving this grant left me very speechless & like it was an answer to one of my many prayers.”
