Shaina is studying nursing with the goal of eventually becoming a labor & delivery nurse in her hometown. “I had a very difficult end to my teenage years and was given a second chance at life. Since that time I have tried my best to be a better person and was drawn to nursing to achieve that goal. I want to help bring comfort, joy and exceptional care to those who are bringing new life into the world, just as I feel I was supported and given a new life. I plan on using this money to help pay for my cap & gown and graduation photos, which will also be a maternity shoot as I found out I am pregnant, as well as buy gifts to a few people who stood by me throughout this whole process. Turns out my graduation day is just around my due date and I won’t stop until I accomplish both so I can set an example for my child that you are never down and out…that with hard work, determination and kindness to yourself and others, you can accomplish anything.”
