Taylor is in her second year of grad school and is studying to get her Master’s Degree in Social Work. “Growing up with a mother in social work, I was instilled with social work values and ethics. I have also always loved working with children and watch them develop so while I considered different paths, I decided my goal is to help children and their families navigate the Child Welfare System. This grant will not only help me achieve this, but honestly receiving it made me tear up because I wasn’t expecting it at all. It made me feel really good and appreciated and that the field I am going into really matters.”
