Leslie

Leslie is double majoring in Biology and Spanish and minoring in Psychology. “I chose these fields to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health. Being able to go out into the communities and teach them the importance of caring for yourself is the main reason for what I want to do with my career and in the future. I know I can make an impact in the world with approaching communities before epidemics strike populations.I am a first generation student and the only daughter of my family. Coming to college away from home was challenging but it’s opportunities like these that pushed my drive to take this leap for my future career. This grant will help me in paying my tuition next fall. Tuition and housing are one of the highest portions of my payments at the college so having the grants helps me know I don’t have to work that much for all my expenses. Receiving this grant gave me a financial lift I had in the moment. I was heading to work during my interview to save money for next semester’s payment so receiving it was thrilling.”Have a student that you think could use a grant to help them make the impact they want in the world like Leslie?
