Florencia is an educator in Mozambique committed to guiding children through some of the most difficult obstacles to learning. We were first introduced to her through Sharing Hope Africa, where her dedication to her students immediately stood out. Her purpose is rooted in her desire to help others. As she says, “There are many people who are suffering and I want to help them.” Florencia believes deeply in the power of care, community, and shared humanity, values she brings into her classroom every single day.

To her, teaching is a source of pride and meaning. She feels honored to support her community, expressing gratitude for the people who choose to walk alongside her and her students. Her message is heartfelt: “I feel so proud and grateful for the money that we received from Trace of Hope. Thank you for the good hearts you have.”

Florencia’s hope is to continue offering encouragement, stability, and hope to every child she teaches, creating a space where they feel safe, supported, and capable of dreaming beyond their circumstances.
