Bryan is a senior in high school who plans to pursue a major in architecture so that he can design affordable, safe housing for those who need it most.
He is currently taking an architecture course at his high school taught by two professional architects, and he hopes to use his degree to collaborate with others on everything from homes to bridges, landscapes, and parks.
“I hope to have an impact in the world by building affordable housing for everyone, including apartments, hotels, and homes, and making sure everyone has a safe place to live. I want to change how people view architecture and show a better side of affordable living in this economy of ours.
Receiving this grant felt really good. It made me feel like I accomplished something and that I’m heading toward the right path. Lately it’s been hard to know if I’m headed in the right direction, and this just confirmed it.”
Bryan hopes to use the power of architecture to give everyone a safe and affordable place to call home. If you wish to nominate any students who you believe can have a positive impact on the world such as Bryan, please click the box below.
