Alisha

Alisha (Mimi) Trilla is a Freshman at the University of Massachusetts with a focus in History and Sociology, with a minor in Psychology. She wishes to use this degree in order study of mental health and help other with their mental health.

“I want to aid in breaking generational curses and create a space where many can feel as if they are not alone. Too many trauma victims are left to their own devices to struggle with mental health conditions they do not understand or feel as if they are surrounded by stigma. I want them to know that there is a space they are understood and welcomed to, no matter their age, race, sexuality, religion, etc.

This opportunity just further pushes me to continue to pursue my specific career path and help others who may find themselves in a situation similar to me.”

Alisha hopes to use the power of mental health to take care of other people. If you wish to nominate any students who you believe can have a positive impact on the world such as Alisha please click the box below.
