Celeste is a junior at Edward A. Reynolds Transfer High School in New York who plans to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation/Aeronautical Science at Farmingdale State University so that she can achieve her dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot.
A major obstacle she overcame was finding an academic environment that suited her needs. Edward A. Reynolds has made it possible for her to earn her high school diploma on a timeline that works for her, which has been a vital step toward her higher education goals.
“I want to inspire other young women to pursue careers in STEM and show them that it is possible. I also want to encourage others to pursue careers they truly enjoy rather than settling for paths that do not align with their passions.
Now that I have had time to process the news, it feels amazing to know that my hard work is being recognized. This grant has motivated me to continue striving toward my future goals and to stay invested in my community.”
Celeste plans to use her degree to take flight as a commercial airline pilot and inspire the next generation of women in STEM. If you wish to support students like Celeste, click the button below to donate and make a difference.
