Olivia is studying to get her Bachelors in Chemistry because, as she shared with us “it is my passion and I want to build that passion in others. My ultimate goal is to become a teacher and inspire a future generation of leaders from all backgrounds. My hope is to bring education, especially in STEM, to groups of people who have limited access to it.”

Olivia currently is a TA and works part-time to make ends meet. She plans to use the grant towards “my tuition so I can remain focused and motivated to complete my studies especially in hard times when the cost almost seems too much.” Olivia also shared with us that receiving the grant “is helping me believe in myself and my future as an educator and that I can and will help others like me.”
