Alesi is currently a Sophomore in College and is currently studying English. Alesi eventually hopes to get a Masters in English so she can become an English Literature Professor… something she wants to obtain in honor of her later father, who helped her strive to reach her educational goals. Through her masters she wants to give others that hope through teaching them English so they can better their lives, especially in her community.

Alesi told us that receiving the grant was “ one of the most humbling & heart-warming moments of my life. It was a huge surprise and came when I was in dire need. This money is going to not only help me pay for my education, but will help me with gas, groceries and bills so that I can keep taking care of my family while staying in school.
